How is this for an end of the year special gift? Mazzy Star’s first concert in Belgium, following the release of their second album, ‘So Tonight That I Might See’. A very low attendance though, which you can guess by the echoes of people’s hands clapping, and, more annoying, the sound of plastic glasses being dropped and crushed on the floor. Still, it was  a very enjoyable gig, and a fond memory as you can imagine. Also thanks to Mike for lending me his (then) brand new digital recorder, I think it was put to good use.

Not the band’s best record in my opinion, although it’s filled with the right ingredients, ie. melodies, some noise and Patricia de Rowland’s vocals. Still, there’s a couple of enjoyable tracks on this album (Pretty Paper, Walk Don’t Walk or Wane for example).
